Silicon nitride cones are high-performance components made of silicon nitride ceramics. ADVANTAGES OF SILICON NITRIDE:
Silicon nitride has a density of 3.2g/cm³ (only 2/5 of steel), which can reduce the inertial load of the rotating parts and improve dynamic response speed.
Silicon nitride’s Rockwell hardness is HRA 92-94 (twice that of steel). It has a friction coefficient of 0.05-0.1 (about 1/3 of steel), and great wear resistance of 3-5 times that of ordinary metals.
Silicon nitride has resistance to a temperature range of -60°C-1200°C (short-term resistance to 1600°C).
Silicon nitride is highly resistant to the corrosion of strong acid (concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid), strong alkali (sodium hydroxide), and salt spray.
